How and why we use cookies, and how to control them.

This Cookie Policy explains how JustSEO.ai uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to recognize you when you visit our website.
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to website owners.
Cookies allow websites to remember your actions and preferences (such as login credentials, language selection, font size, and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you return to the site or browse from one page to another.
We group the cookies and similar storage we use into the following categories:
How we ask for your permission depends on where you are browsing from:
Location is determined at country level only from the request; we do not store your IP address for this purpose.
The table below lists the cookies and browser storage actually in use on JustSEO.ai, who sets them, and how long they last. Some entries are stored in your browser's local storage rather than as traditional cookies, but we list them here for transparency.
| Name / Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookieConsent / cookie-consent (JustSEO) | Stores your cookie consent choices so we know which categories you allowed. | Essential | Persistent (until you clear it or change your preferences) |
| consent_session_id / gpc_optout_logged (JustSEO) | Anonymous identifier used to record your consent choice in our GDPR/CCPA audit trail, including any Global Privacy Control opt-out. | Essential | Persistent |
| sb-*-auth-token (Supabase) | Keeps you signed in and maintains your authenticated session. | Essential | Until you sign out or the session expires |
| marketing-dark-mode (JustSEO) | Remembers your light/dark theme preference. | Functional | Persistent |
| __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid (Stripe) | Fraud prevention and secure processing of checkout and payments. | Essential | __stripe_mid: 1 year; __stripe_sid: 30 minutes |
| Google Tag Manager (Google) | Tag container used to load analytics (and any future marketing) tags. Loaded only after you grant analytics consent. The container itself does not set tracking cookies; any tags it loads are governed by their own category. | Analytics | Only after consent; varies by tag |
| PostHog (ph_*) (PostHog) | Product analytics that help us understand feature usage. Loaded only after you grant analytics consent. | Analytics | Up to 12 months |
| Sentry (Sentry) | Error tracking and, when enabled, session replay for diagnosing bugs. See the note below on how consent applies. | Essential (error tracking) / Analytics (session replay) | Session replay: only after analytics consent |
We use Sentry for error monitoring. To keep the service reliable, basic Sentry error tracking initializes before you make a cookie choice, on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in detecting and fixing faults. This pre-consent error tracking does not record session replays and does not send your email address or other directly identifying personal data to Sentry (errors are associated only with an opaque identifier).
Sentry session replay, which can capture an anonymized recording of on-screen activity to help us reproduce bugs, is consent-gated: it is enabled only after you grant analytics consent, and replays mask text and block media by default.
